A Prayer for the Week
Dear Father, Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus to die for my sins. I was a sinner and not
worthy. Thank you that as I confess my sins, you are faithful and just to forgive them, and that I
am now considered righteous in your eyes. Since you have forgiven me, help me to forgive
others who have wronged me, even as you taught us to pray in the Lord's prayer.
Lord, we also ask you to forgive our national sins. Be merciful to us. We realize we deserve your
Judgment in our land for the sins that have committed. However, we are asking that you send a
revival among us so that we might turn from our wicked ways and that our land be spared. Help
me to do my part in changing this nation. Although my life may only represent one drop of rain,
there are many other Christians who are rain drops too. Add each Christian's life and their godly
witness and influence to this sound of rain until Your love and Your Word covers this dry and
thirsty earth. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
A Prayer for Those Seeking God
Dear Heavenly Father, We are told in the Bible if we will seek first the Kingdom of God and
Your righteousness that You will add all the other things that the people of the world seek
after (Matthew 6:33). May they realize you sent Jesus Your son to die for them on the cross
and if they come to You confessing and forsaking their sins, You will forgive them and give
them eternal life. This new life is to begin now. The moment they invite You to come into
their heart You will change them so they can live for You, and Your purposes, and no longer
live for self.
Lord, give them the peace and assurance of Your presence as they reach out to You. Reveal
Yourself to them, Father. Heal them from their sickness and deliver them from all bondage of sin.
Bless them and may their new walk in the Spirit be one that brings glory to Your name! Amen.
What You Should Do Now?
The Word of God says, "...and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37 KJV).
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me" (John 14:6 NIV).
We have included this sample prayer and when you agree and pray it (or one like it from your
own heart) the Lord will HEAR and FORGIVE ALL YOUR SINS!
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you with all my sins, my burdens and addictions. Wash me in
the precious blood that Jesus shed for me when He died on the cross. Break the chains of sin and
of Satan in my life and family. I surrender to you and I want to be yours; spirit, soul and body,
for time and eternity. I put my faith in you alone, Lord Jesus Christ. You are the only begotten
Son of the Living God. I believe with my heart what I now confess with my mouth: You are my
Savior, Lord and God. My sins are now forgiven and I have been "born-again!" Old things have
passed away and I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am a child of God. I believe it and I
receive it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. AMEN.
If you sincerely prayed this prayer or one like it from your heart, we welcome you to the family
of God. We would also like to encourage you to continue in your faith by doing the following
* Seek out a good Bible believing church and share your decision to follow Christ with the body
of believers there and ask to be water baptized.
* Pray everyday. Daily ask God for His guidance and wisdom and the power to lead the
overcoming Christian life. Confess your sins to Him quickly, and never fail to give Him thanks for
all of His blessings to you.
* Read your Bible every day. This is one of the primary ways that God speaks to you. The whole
book is a letter to YOU! The best way to begin to know Him is simply to read about Him.
* Meet with other Christians and attend church as much as possible. This will encourage you and
strengthen you. It is God's desire that all His children fellowship together. God has a place for you
in His Body. You have something unique to offer that no one else can do in quite your way.
